You say that whites commit a lot of violence against you,


So why are the ghettos the most

dangerous places to live?



You have the United ***** College Fund.

You have Martin Luther King Day.

You have Black History Month.

You have Cesar Chavez Day.

There are African Americans, Mexican Americans,


Asian Americans, Arab Americans, Native Americans, etc.


And then there are just Americans.




You Have Yom Hashoah

You have Ma'uled Al-Nabi

You have the NAACP.


You have BET.



If we had WET (White Entertainment Television) . We'd be racists.


If we had a White Pride Day ..

You would call us racists.



If we had White History Month

We'd be racists.


If we had any organization for only whites

to "advance" OUR lives ..


We'd be racists.



We have a Hispanic Chamber of Commerce,

a Black Chamber of Commerce,

And then we just have the

plain Chamber of Commerce.


Wonder who pays for that?



If we had a college fund that only gave

white students scholarships


.... You know we'd be racists.


There are over 60 openly proclaimed


Black Colleges in the US ,

Yet if there were "White colleges" ..


THAT would be a racist college.




In the Million Man March,

you believed that you were marching


For your race and rights.

If we marched for our race and rights,


You would call us racists.




You are proud to be black, brown, yellow and orange, and you're Not afraid to announce it.

But when we announce our white pride ..


You call us racists.




You rob us, carjack us, and shoot at us.

But, when a white police officer


Shoots a black gang member

or beats up a black drug-dealer running


From the law and posing a threat to society .

You call him a racist.


I am proud.


But, you call me a racist.


Why is it that only whites

can be racists?

I agree it was a nasty and wrong thing to say but I think it is very hypocritical that young rappers use the "n" word and much more disgusting sexist remarks in their lyrics...but that is ok I guess in some peoples eyes. If they are going to punish Don Imus, they have to do something about the awful lyrics in music on the airways.

Imus is held up nationally as a political spokesperson. He often has political guests on his program and frequently has political discussions. He represents a white majority population that in the not too distant past, horribly repressed the Black population. To allow a man like Imus to promote racism on such a forum is to allow the potential for the abject racism and repression of our past to begin to creep back into our society.

Racism is a right-wing attribute (which is quite obvious on this forum) and Imus speaks to that audience. He knew his audience would appreciate those comments and he was more than willing to cater to their racist whims. A decent society must put a man like Imus and his right-wing Archie Bunker followers in their place.

Be careful... I have already complained about Don Imus' Freedom of Speech being trashed... and SOMEBODY REPORTED ME FOR ABOUSE... so I guess the First Amendment really IS dead.

Freedom of speech has to do with being able to express a view point on an issue, it does not give anyone the right to degrade another. It is a matter or respect and decency which seems to be on the decline. It was a nasty rotten thing to say and a professional should not have said it. It does not say he cannot express dislike for the team, but to attack them in that manner is not free speech it is down right mean, ill mannered and nasty. And shuch behaivior should not be tolerated.

Mr Imus has the freedom to say whatever he wants to say; and the American public has the right to ask his employers to punish him for misusing his rights and peddling racism and sexism under the demise of comedy.
