Yes many of times.. But I'll tell u something more messed up then that.. Quite a few years ago I was driving down the road and heard a Ambulance coming so me and everyone else got off to the side of the road ( there were alot of cars 4:00 traffic) and they came thru went thru the red light then shut off there sirens and slowed back down... I couldn't believe it.. We were no where near the hospital..... Dang people... Although...Can't say I wouldn't do the same thing if I knew I wasn't gonna get caught.....BUT since I am not them.. It is not right and it should be stopped... lol

I've done it before and I will do it again, but it isn't actually running the light, it is "proceeding with caution." When I get a hot call - accident with injuries, fight in progress, burglary in progress - I always try to get there as quick as I can, even though I know I would later get about 15 complaints from people like you who just didn't understand. What if that person waiting for me is scared, or about to be injured or killed and I could help? What if that person one the other end was my mother - I would want help to arrive as soon as possible. I know people resent cops going through traffic signals, but I think they would view things differently if they were awakened in the middle of the night by someone breaking into their house. Five minutes waiting for help can seem like a terrifying eternity. Yeah, I will go through a light anytime I deem necessary it I think my faster arrival will help someone, and those complaints in my file be damned.

Yes, & I've seen them approaching the light without their siren on... then when they get close they turn it on just so they can run the light. After they are through, they turn it back off & keep on going ;-)

Yeah they had an emergency doughnut break at a Krispy Kreme shop near the Seven Eleven so they could get some slurpees afterwards.
