I'll second Fast Eddie's!! It's a great place with CHEAP food and good drinks. Plus you have to be 21 to get in, so why not start there? Other than that, my friends and I always enjoy Soulard. Big Daddy's is a great place and they have a large outdoor patio with an outdoor bar for when the weather is nice and they always have a dance floor and DJ inside. It's located at 10th and Sydney.

A little further down, I believe 12th and Russel, you'll find McGurk's which someone else already mentioned here. It too has a large outdoor patio with bar and they often have live music on the weekends. I hear the food is great here as well, but I've been there to drink so I can't say one way or another.

After the bars in Soulard, if you like the 3 o'clock bars and want to dance your *** off, head to Lafayette's which is directly off Broadway right next to the farmer's market down there in Soulard. Or if you're hungry, Ferarra's has pizza by the slice until 3am and Photohunt. I can't remember the location but it's only a few blocks from Big Daddy's.

I love soulard because there's always something fun going on and there are always a lot of attractive women down there. You really can't beat it.

you should try Llewellyn's! there have great food and the one in Webster groves is awesome and their bar is great! or if its warm enough try magurks that place is great also wonderful food and live Irish music on Fri and sat inside and the outside patio area is huge and the have a separate bar outside. another wonderful place if you are into micro breweries is square one down in Lafayette square they have wonderful food and great beer, the chocolate bar is just down the street and you not to far from the bars in soulard area, or the clubs on Washington or the landing if you are into the club scene
