The show American idol is getting old. They really need to give up on it. Nobody cares anymore. Only two of the winners so far have really made it big anyway. If the crappy singer wins who cares. Won't be any different than Taylor Hicks or Reuben Studdard or any of the others who can't make a hit record.

people are voting for the crappy singer b/c they are stupid and they think its funny to anger the people who actuall care about the show. but i do think you're wrong about nobody caring...when they have over 300 million votes, there are definitely people who care....but even though some of the people who are winning (ruben, taylor) aren't making it big, many of the contestants are getting record deals and doing quite well with it.....in country, rock and pop music. bucky covington from last season, didn't do that well but right now he has a country single that is doing pretty well on country radio...as well as kellie pickler

It seems people are either going to that site "vote for the worst.com" (I think that's what it's called) or listening to Howard Stern just to mess with the show. Does seem the show's run it's course, very few of the actual winners really make it. More of the people who get voted off seem to get somewhere, i.e. Jennifer Hudson of "Dreamgirls"/Oscar fame, Frenchie on Broadway in "Rent", and others I can't think of. Plus, it seems the males that are most successful appear to be gay. I'm NOT saying they ARE gay! Just appear to be. That also could be what's behind this guy who can't get voted off. For some reason, pre-teen/young teen girls seem to like guys like that alot. Still, I think this season is either rigged on purpose, or getting messed with by the afore mentioned sources. IMO.
