I usually don't eat there. I don't eat fast food burgers. If I ever do stop there it's in the summer to get an ice cream cone.

I haven't seen "Super Size Me". While the local theater that was showing it was within easy walking distance, I didn't have $6 for a ticket and from what I saw of the media hype, the dude would have been preaching to the choir. I do have a copy of the DVD, though.

While I've not seen "Super Size Me", I have read the book, "Fast Food Nation" and would like to see the movie as well.

I've not given McDonald's, well any fast food restaurant, a dime of my money in at least two years. The rare times I've gone, the money has come out of my husband's play money. Even then, it was for things like when we were in the town where his brother's wedding was, we went to the Subway because it was quick and I knew that as a vegan, I could get something there. (A mediocre pile of veggies on a wheat flavored bun with mustard. Eh. It appeased my tummy for awhile.)

I don't trust fast food restaurants, even the salads. (I wouldn't trust if they were meatless; For all I know they could have pickced the meat out. Ick.) Yet, when I'm out for more than a few hours, I generally have trail mix or a granola bar. (Good ones, with nothing fully or partially hydrogenated, no artificial anything no corn syrup or high fructose corn syrup.... Kashi and Trader Joe's have the best ones and they're both cheap, TJ's being cheaper)

I think it's ineterestng that as more people become educated, the more fast food restaurants try and change their menus. They could be selling veggie burgers on whole wheat buns and I still wouldn't be interested. (Yes, I know BK sells veggie burgers, but they're still on white buns and not worth the price. They're worth it if I'm traveling and don't have a sandwhich or anything with me. So I buy maybe one a year.) McDonald's has started a mom panel where they let moms go "behind the scenes" and see and have a say in how food is made. Yeah. Are they going to let the moms see the factory farms or are they going to relplicate Old McDonald's farm?)

Sorry, I'm digressing.

There are only two items I ever order at Mcdonalds, and I eat there maybe once every 2-3 months. I its morning, I will get the Bacon Mcgriddle and if its lunch or dinner time, I will get 2 regular hamburgers. The regular hamburgers have the chopped onions on them and when I need a burger fix, it hits the spot. I have a relative that eats at Mcd's 4 to 5 times a week, she says she doesnt have time to grocery shop and Mcd's is cheap. I say for the cost of one meal, which is $5 to $6, you can buy quite a few veggies, at least more than one meals worth. And what is one hour to grocery shop out of a person's week? Nothing. I just think she is addicted to fast food. I know when I was eating fast food all the time, my money sure went fast. Now I do my grocery shopping weekly and seem to have more money left over, and I have lost weight as well. Fast food should be a treat, for every now and then. It should not be a way of life. What really gets me is you will see a huge guy order a Big Mac meal, a cheeseburger and some apple pies and then he will order a diet coke. Who is he trying to kid. If your going to stuff your face with junk, you might as well go for broke.

After eating macdonalds with severe hangovers one too many times i won't go near the stuff! Maybe a sundae once in a while... but any of the burgers & chips just make you feel so greasy you regret eating it after the first bite!

I recently quit eating McDonald's. I ate a hamburger special and shortly after that I noticed that I felt funny, and that my legs felt like they wanted to be numb. I figured it was something else and a week later I had a quarter pounder with fries and the same thing happened. I don't know what it is or what they are using to cook with, but it scared me enough where I wont eat there any more.

I stopped as the food makes me sick! I tried the salad option but couldn't stand paying for "rotten lettuce" underneath the green layer! My kids still like to eat there, but it's only for the toys. Sometimes we don't even like the toys they offer as they are left over from 1 or 2 years ago!

I used to never eat at McD's but I make an exception occasionally for soup or sausage gravy and biscuit! The burgers and fries are greasy and gross!

i haven't eaten there since my childhood. i use to eat there frequently then because it was fun, and most kids are really picky with their food and usually like simple food like that. now that i'm older i appreciate better quality, healthier foods. i still think they have the best fries around though!
