American Idol vs Dancing With the Stars? Which do you prefer and why?

I see I should have said this question is for fans of the shows. If you don't like either of them I really don't need to know

I enjoy both, but I prefer Dancing With the Stars. AI isn't as much fun as it used to be; the early auditions get more mean-spirited with each new season and I don't trust the voting process. DWTS, meanwhile, keeps getting better and better. It's so great watching the professional dancers get the national exposure they deserve, and it's always interesting to see which stars have the talent and the drive to do really well. Also, I like that it's a combination of judge's scores and audience votes that determine who stays and who goes; it makes tuning in for elimination night worthwhile.

Definitely Dancing With The Stars. You have to be a professional to see the mistakes that the dancers make, so if you are not one it is just purely enjoyable to watch. American Idol, on the other hand, is different. Anyone with ears can notice when somebody is a horrible singer. Plus Dancing With The Stars actually uses their judges (part of each couples final score depends on the judge's rating). American Idol's judges just sit and criticize with no real purpose. As you can tell I prefer Dancing With The Stars!

American Idol, because I like sin ging competitions. I have watched Dancing with the stars a few times, but I like A. I. better, even though it isn't very good this year.

American Idol bc I'm more into music than what dance two people are doing and if they do it correctly. I also like Simon and I like that it is a competition among unknowns instead of celebrities.

Neither, I can't watch them it makes me to mad. It is not really a talent contest it is a popularity contest!!! I mean the absolute best dancer or singer can get eliminated because they don't' get voted for? People just call in to vote for someone they know or the cutest one or because it is there race. It has nothing to do with talent. They can sit there & vote 100's of times for the same person. It's not far, its just a joke! Those people get out there and pour the heart and soul into what they do, I mean they give it everything they've got and they don't deserve to get eliminated before someone who can't carry a tune in a bucket just because they don't get as many votes from the public. I cant stand to watch it. It's like Funny Videos, the most unrehearsed funniest blooper never even makes it to the top 3. It's usually to stupidest planned out video that wins. I can't watch that show either!

American Idol, although I think it sucks this year. I wont watch dancing with the stars...I'd rather watch, "So you think you can dance," not some washed up has been stars dancing around.

I like Dancing with the Stars better.

I like to see the celebrities out of thier element and am so impressed and amazed by the pro dancers.

Also, I'll never be able to sing but someday I may dance...
