I am not liberal, have voted mainly Republican, even voted twice for GWB, and have major regrets about this decision since being enlightened... have done extensive research, unbiased, independantly- stopped watching FOX (slanted) news, started realizing all our parties are basically friends, and are uh- good politicians (clintons and bush are friends obviously, bush and bin ladins are friends..Monsanto employs government employees (an example of how corporate america is in bed with the federal government)--watch "The Future of Food"- free Youtube.com.) I will not be fooled any more. I no longer belong to either party, and I cannot see any "great" success of GWB... only failure.

By the way- You all forgot the amazing Patriot Act- a nasty thing.... most in Congress didnt even read it when they passed it. Nice. Does anyone even know what that allows the Government to do? (google it sometime)...

Oh, someone mentioned Donald Rumsfeld- I thought this was interesting:

How many Ex (?) Monsanto executives are now in the Bush's Cabinet?

5. Mitch Daniels, Dir. of the Office of Management and Budget - V.P. Eli Lilly Pharm.

George Bush has been powerful certainly... powerful at turning Clinton's surplus right into a deficit. powerful at doing away with truly some our personal liberties. powerful at making Iraq even worse than it replaced into less than Saddam's rule, that's very undesirable. powerful at making some thing else of the global, even former allies, despise us.

Like the morass called iraq?

Or the Medicare "Reform" that's actually another way for the pharmaceutical industry to stick it to older Americans?

Or the No Child Left Behind program which does nothing but leave children behind?

Or the at least $1 trillion dollars in U.S. debt that China alone holds?

I have misunderestimated the Decider.

Hi son of a b ....... ush. you still look like your father.
I had to put sunglasses on so as not to be blinded by his successes:
We no longer can ship horses to France for horsemeat
we have a new ocean sanctuary somewhere
I get to enjoy watching the Republicans squirm all the way to 2008.
ed:forgot to ask, what success do you see? If you put your arm out and wave it around, does the vision disappear? Do you believe in Santa?

ed: HI, Nikii, interesting on the Monsanto. hadn't seen that. You know Monsanto and patent of plants, ex neem in India? terminiator seeds? thanks for link, will check out.

perhaps his "successes" are relatively overshadowed by the men and women of our military that are dying on a regular basis. perhaps it was his denial of proof of global warming that caused so many to ignore the "positive" statements he has made, as we get ready for snow in april. maybe it's his backward literary interpretation of the bible that he finds useful in a presidency that is supposed to separate church from state. maybe it's the fact that he is an inept person, who just happens to be in control of our armed forces. a man who is willing to risk countless lives to prove that his agenda has merit. maybe its the growing poverty, the decrease in taxes for the wealthy and the increase in taxes for the poor. maybe it's his cutbacks in social programs or his vacation ethic. maybe it's the fact that he will not even lower himself to speak to a mom who lost her son in a senseless battle oversees that only seeks to profit the rich here in the us. what great success are you talking about? earned income credit?

well, thankyou. thankyou very much. the extra grand i receive on my yearly taxes does not clothe and feed my son. it goes to pay for the medical bills we have incurred over the last year. since insurance has become a luxury of the rich, we no longer have it. and i work for a living, darlin', 50 hours a week. my hubs works 40. yet we can not afford insurance and do not qualify for medicaid.

maybe it's the general lack of appreciation for the fact that our planet is going to ****. maybe, we as liberals, don't need the planet for just our generation, but want it as a viable place to live for our great great great grandkids. long live haliburton! right?

you are naive, misconstrued, and most of all.....ignorant to the shape that your country is in. something that has only grown and festered since your illustrious president took office.

Yes they are not only blind, they refuse to accept anything good. I posted a similar question stating that because of Bush we now have an "alert system", the military was in shambles after Clinton stopped funding it, After 9/11 Bush brought the military back up to speed. Airports are safter, he lowered taxes, He helped NY rebound after 9/11. and much much more but the libs do not appreciate the success Bush has had. It's very discouraging.
