I know there has to be, and I wish there was a newspaper, with just good stuff in it. I would subscribe in a heartbeat. It gets too depressing for words watching the news and reading the paper. I tend to block the news by watching cable or dvd's. It's the same ol crap anyway, day after day.

i have timed our local news down to the first 13 mins of local news and weather then i shut it off the rest of it is just national BS
then i turn it up again at the 22 for the sports and another look at the weather
i am so tired of hearing about celebrities when there is much more IMPORTANT things out there
and i never watch the national news anymore

I say no by turning the TV off for a few weeks, going directly to internet sites of my choice, and skipping the news altogether.

Yes, of course. I shouted 'shut up' when I watched Italian TV news. Always Iraq, Afghanistan, violence, politics.

Instead of yelling "shut up" to all the bad news, I sing a happy song to myself and everyone who's around me! Here's some good news for everyone out there....I'm single again!!!! YEA!!!! lol

Always check the odd news section of news.yahoo.com. I rarely pay attention to the bad news.

yes i do!!!!..but this is what we have become. greedy, media crazy, and we seem to have forgotten our purpose here. it WAS NOT to destroy the earth with global warming..creating wars or watching others suffer...but we are NOT willing to change and we will reap those benefits as we choke on our lack of oxygen from clearcutting the forest for the money..and we die of thirst from the waters we have polluted..God help us all!!!
