I've applied at many places through Careerbuilder.com, and Hot Jobs. The companies which i happened to apply at are still hiring and I applied like maybe between 1-2 months ago. I just quit a job that didn't work out for me, and i still think that i can maybe work at the Airport, but i was suppose to work there 2 months ago. I never called the mgr back... any helpful suggestions?

The key to getting hired is to be persistent. Call them back. ALWAYS. Some people won't even consider someone who doesn't. It boils down to effort, and if you show enough interest then someone will be more likely to hire you. Don't be embarrassed or anything, just call in to the companies that you applied to and tell them that you put in an application and if the position is still available, and that you are "still very interested in the position". Let them know you want it! And in the end, don't get down on yourself~you can put in a million applications and there will be THAT ONE that will be the perfect job for you. I have been through the same thing myself. Don't worry, something will come along. GOOD LUCK~!

Some suggestions:
-Most jobs are acquired through networking. Volunteer, join your city's rotary club, meet as many new people as you can. Tell your friends and family that you are looking for work and ask them if they can provide you with any contacts.
-Most jobs are not advertised. Call companies and inquire if they are in need of someone for the job you are seeking. If you send a resume, follow up with a phone call and ask if they received your resume.
-Try criagslist: it offers many positions that are not advertised on Monster, Careerbuilder, and Hot Jobs.
-Try any strategy you can think of. The worse thing you can do is nothing.
