of course, sharing that final moment is the ultimate act of love, on the other hand if you are watching them die and could help them but do nothing....then that is something entirely different

Watching someone you love die is the most painful experience and something you NEVER get over.

Depends on how you mean, watching or being with a someone. Loving someone comes in many every day forms only you know if its done with or for love. the intent is key not the action.

I suppose that love could be anything at all...watching someone die and knowing they won't be in pain anymore could be love, I think, if that's what you mean.

Yes, if the person has a terminal illness and chooses to refuse any more treatment. You may want to keep them with you, but love would mean respecting their choice and letting them go. Easy? No. - Right? Yes.
Making that choice for someone else? NO!!!!!

Yes, my sister-in-law, Jenny, was with my brother, George, when he died. He had terminal cancer. I am happy that the last words he heard before he died, was my sister-in-law telling him she loved him. She was the last person he saw before he left us. I hope he took comfort in this.

I guess you have to love them enough to let them go. So yes. Good question!
