I wash my sheets once a week. My husband and I share a bed. Being retired, we don't bath daily as we did when we were working, but do bath when needed (doing gardening, etc) Some bedtime activities may require changing more often if the sheets become soiled. I keep several sets of sheets on hand so I can change when needed and wash the used sheets at my convenience.
Blankets are a different thing. You should be using a fitted or bottom sheet and a top sheet. The top sheet protects the blanket, quilt or comforter from you body perspiration, lotions etc. In the old days when wool blankets were used they were washed or cleaned once a year. With the use of duvets over your comforter, you don't have to worry about washing or dry cleaning the comforter very often. With just the comforter you need to wash or dry clean it once a year and store it until the following season. Often, in hot weather a top sheet and light bedspread is plenty. Or remove the good bedspread before going to bed and just use a light blanket. Blankets don't need to be washed more than once a year if you use a top sheet. I live in California in an area that has two seasons. I change bedding in the spring and fall. I also turn the mattress over and end for end at those times. I store the seasonal bedding after it is cleaned or washed. In the summer I have cool colors and weights and in the winter I have dark colors, with flannel sheets and a heavy comforter. I use a mattress warmer instead of a heating blanket. Warms much better.
So sheets weekly, blankets semi-annually.

Once a month or once every two weeks ,but I guess as long as the sheets and blankets don't look dirty or small then may be your doing a good job with how often u wash them

In the summer I wash sheets twice a week. In the winter months because you sleep with nightwear that covers more of you once a week is plenty. I'll go a month without washing blankets because they do not touch the body so there are no skin cells to be washed away.

It is up to you and your lifestyle. Most people I know wash sheets once a week, blankets and pillows about once a month........but sometimes those can go several months. My DH's pillow must be washed every 2 weeks......he sweats!

Down comforters should have a duvet cover which is washed often, the comforter to the dry cleaner once a year. Some folks wash theirs, also about once a year....providing they were within a duvet.

Bed spreads, once again, your lifestyle and needs.

Sheets and pillowcases should be washed weekly. Blankets as needed, at least every two months. Comforters twice a year or as needed.

Your mattress pad every two months also. More if you have allergies.

Sheets once a week. Blankets: about twice a year depending on how you use them.

i dont think theres any laws mandating how often to wash your sheets but i would say no less then once a month would be good. more often if you dont shower daily. our sheets get washed pretty much whenever they seem to need it, sometimes it goes a while .

To control dust mites, wash your sheets, blankets, pillows, and stuffed toys once a week in hot water.
