Liberals are the first to scream over the patriot act or criticize the gvt for being secretive and evil and yet want to hand over to that exact same gvt all their money and their healthcare. So basically libs, you dont trust the gvt with your security and you think they are evil, but you are willing to give them all your money and put your health in their hands. HUH??????

Well there was plenty of bashing of conservatives and hardly any answering of the question. Way to go people.

They take all of our money anyways, why not get some healthcare out of it.

EDIT: I answered your question, but when people like you don't like the answer, you just call it "bashing"...silly little Repubs. :o)

Why do you think liberals, or anyone, wants to give the government all their money?

As for healthcare, the US has the worst healthcare system in the industrialized world, so a change is needed. (Ask yourself: which other industrialized democracies are changing their universal coverage systems to look more like our system here? None.) There are many different alternatives, including private-sector solutions independent of government. So, why are you oversimplifying the matter?

The Patriot Act, NSA wiretaps on Americans, and suspension of habeas corpus are assaults on American freedoms as specified in the Constitution. Provisions for healthcare do not infringe on these freedoms - you are free to get your healthcare wherever you like and for whatever money you care to spend.

Besides, I'll bet you're not paying 100% for your health insurance today anyway, are you? Why should your employer - and the private marketplace in general - be forced to shoulder the burden of all health costs? They bear the cost even today for those without insurance. Worse still is that the US system is driving foreign companies to locate skilled-labor assembly plants in Canada, where health costs are subsidized and distributed, rather than in the US, where they would be required to carry costs for all plant employees.

This country needs healthcare FOR ALL CITIZENS....

We pay enough in taxes for this to be possible...

Use the money spent on this unjust war toward something good.... Like taking care of our own people!!!!

Well now, just a minute. Not all liberals want to give their money to the government. Rich liberals are notorious for exploiting every loophole to avoid taxes. You would be much more accurate to say that liberals want to give your money to the government.

it's what they do. pick a cause and run with it. it doesn't really madder what the cause is, just as long as they can hold their signs and chant their slogans. it make them feel as if they really are doing something. it just gives me a headache for the most part. but hey, free speech and all that, but they need to also realize they have to be held accountable for what they say as well.

I gave your "question" the answer it deserved.

Okay.

If you say so.

There's no use trying to explain anything to conservatives.
