Dividing fractions is like multiplying fractions but first you have to set it up:

Take the second term, 2/5, and get its reciprocol, which is the inverse of that number, 5/2. Now the problem reads 2/5 (divided) by 5/2, but change the division operation to multiplication so now it reads 3/4 × 5/2 and multiplying horizontally getting 15/8, 1 7/8,

When you divide fractions, multiply by the reciprocal of the second number. The reciprocal is just the fraction, flipped upside down.

3/4 X 5/3 = 15/12 = 5/4

ok, first dividing is the same as multiplying by the inverse. do do this multiply 3/4 by 5/2, multiply the top by the top which is 15 then multiply the bottom by the bottom which is 8. your answer is 15/8 or 1.875 depending if you need a fraction or decimal.

to do this in a calc, do (3/4)/(5/2)=1.875 if you dont have the parenthesis then do 3/4=.75/5/2=1.875

Solve the expression...

(3/4) / (2/5)

First: rule - you can't divide fractions > multiply the 1st fraction with the reciprocal of the 2nd fraction (flip the 2nd fraction).

(3/4) * (5/2)

Sec: multiply the numerators & denominators.

(3*5)/(4*2)

15/8
