Well if you like the burnt hair and eyebrows look that is a good method to try, but try is all its good for because burnt is all you will end up with. You also might burn up the tire. Ether isn't a good idea on any tire.

First remove the valve core, then soap up the beads of your tire with rubber lube, or lacking that use some soapy water solution and then hook up your air compressor. Squeeze the tire as you apply air, keeping your fingers and other vital parts from getting pinched in the beads. With some trial and error the tire will seat and then you quickly reinsert the valvecore and then put the proper pressure in the tire.

well the way we do it on our ATVs in the bush when we break the bead on the rim is ya squirt some lighter fluid(or something equal to it)around the inside of the rim(between the tire and rim) light something ya can throw at the spot soaked in lighter fluid(a match)throw it and move back very quickly, YOU DO NOT NEED A LOT OF LIGHTER FLUID! note gas also works again not a lot is needed and yes ya can blow the tire off the rim if you use toooooooo much so unless you have seen it done before i wouldn't suggest ya try it. It can be very dangerous but when yer out in the bush on a quad or in a 4x4 and your little compressor won't do it's the only way sometimes to get rolling again.

It's not a good idea. But anyhow, you don't use it to necessarily air up the tire so much as seat the bead. I would personally take it to a tire shop and let them work on it, or try to ratchet the middle of the tire in while using an air bomb to inflate it.

If you do go with ether...please be careful.

the tire is rather small to be doing this, a lot of people talk to me like I'm crazy when I tell them about this, but I use starting fluid. I hope your talking about when the tire has come off the bead, but you spray starting fluid (not much) on the inside of the wheel, stand back and light it, this is dangerous, but I have done it many of times. some times you have to have a lock-on air chuck on the valve-stem while you do this to create enough pressure to seat the bead. I usually do this when the wheel is still on the vehicle. I don't recommend this but it is the cheap way. I have never done this to a tire this small. good luck and be careful.

What? Where did you get this Advise from? your looking to blow yourself up if a puncture occurs. use air like everyone else. If you have a problem with the tire take it off and have it properly repaired. Ether? You have got to be kidding me. Lighter fluid?

well i hope you can get it air up another way like putting grease around the edge to seal up the gap, are put a rope in the out side tread and twist the rope causing the bead to push out to the rim ,to fill the gap ,long time ago ether was used to blow up tires buy taking valve stem out spraying either into it and lighting a match but since they had more causality's by doing that method the Marshall, and OSHA will fine anyone caught doing that use the rope in the tread then twist the rope to push the bead against the rim and blow up

You've watched far too many shows... showing this I gather...

Just take a tie down strap... wrap it around the tire... ratchet it down till the side walls hit the rims sides.. air it up a little to seat... take the strap off and finish airing it up...
If it leaks air.. I'd either put a tube in it or put SLIME tire sealant.. do not use fix-a-flat..

I use dynamite myself, does real well. ????????????

Why not use a bicycle air pump? Or take the tire to a service station and air it up there.

I have never heard of anything so dumb, in my life.
