It's for the sims 2. Is it safe to do so?

Yes it is safe. you'll need to first download the Q-xpress installer and then they'll have instructions to follow.. Go to the item you want to download and click the Q under dowload and it'll automatically be added to your install list.
The make sure you have a downloads folder in your sims file (go under the actual sims2 disc file on your computer) and then after that hit install on the Q-xpress installer and it'll install for you.
For safety, I asked a computer tech and they said it was fine, however, if you get a lot of items on your sims game (like I did) it'll be very slow to start up, and if you have as much as I did, 15 minutes to load, but everything else ran fine.

Why not try http://www.sims2.com since they have a community board that you can post your question there to be safe since someone would bound to answer your question.
