yes of course! dirty pillowcase causes acne! when you roll and turn in your sleep, the dirt on the case would get onto your face and clog up your pores, giving you pimples! so do not be lazy, change your pillowcase at least once a week... if not, get a towel(not bath towel but towel big enough to cover most of the case) and lay it over your pillow so that you'll be sleeping on the towel instead. and what's more, the towel dries easily and so you can even wash it daily!

Keep hair off of your face if at all possible. If you want to keep your bangs, then consider taking showers regularly or keeping your forehead clean with oil-dabbing cloths / clean tissues / etc. Get good sleep. Stress increases your skin's oiliness, which, combined with sweat and dirt, can clog pores and cause pimples. (Change your pillowcase frequently.) Acne medications may cause your skin to initially break out worse than before because all FDA-approved acne medications (benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, and sulfur) are causing your skin to regenerate faster. This brings existing acne pimples already under your skin (but not visible yet) to the surface, which in turn causes a massive but fortunately temporary break out. Give the medications time to work -- about one to two weeks -- and you will notice a big difference in the quality of your skin. See a dermatologist if over the counter remedies does not work. They specialize in skin care and can prescribe you medicines that help you improve it. Good Luck Dear..

Indeed it can cause acne. Wash your pillowcase regularly, and if you really want to kill the acne-causing bacteria, then soak you pillowcase in vinegar for an hour prior to washing it in the machine. (your pillowcase should be cotton-based for this to work, no funky flannel or weird materials) this sounds strange, but trust me, i've tried all the weird home remedies in the book-and this one works.

Washing your sheets help, and flip pillow mid week. It's not the reason for acne. Hormones generally are. Try using a solid acne face wash, toner and spot treat acne with acne cream.

I hear that if u have a cotton pillow case it is actually better because a a pillow case like a silk one can cause a greasy face which is a bacteria's dinner table...so try a cotton pillow case if u dont have one cause it absorbs grease also throw it in the wash like once a week and if it seems to be getting really dirty and u cant wash it then flip it...goood luck!!

yeah, a dirty pillowcase can cause acne. the oils and bacteria that set into the fabric rubs onto your face when you lay on it, clogging your pores, therefore causing more acne.
