You're going through a natural stage that all us guitar pickers have done. You're training your fingers to do something that isn't natural to do and only repetitiveness will bring about playability.
Soon your fingers on the fretboard will feel as natural as they would on your computer keyboard, with individual fingers acting in unison to create real, live music for you and the audience.
I extend my congratulations for your will and desire to overcome the challenges of the fretboard--for there are many.
Remember, everything you must learn must come gradually and slowly. The great Chet Atkins always admonished future guitarists to learn the task slowly and practice.
Learn chords, their progressions and what chords are used in each key signature. Learn music theory for the guitar and then work on tablature because that will afford an easier grasp to learn the entire fretboard.
When I took typing in high school I flunked the first semester because the calluses on my left fingertips were so thick I could not feel the keyboard keys as I struck them. The guitar is a major love of mine and has been since 1956--that is 51 years of playing.
You can learn to play well as you apply yourself gradually with purpose. Don't worry about the playing style you want; it will come after you've gained some expertise in studying the mentors you follow.
Few guitarists are like Chet Atkins, Andres Segovia, Stevie Ray Vaughan and others, but you can add credence as you steadily work at it.
I wish you success.

They are different things. Playing guitar is different than playing guitar hero. The comparison doesn't work. Some people are not as musical adept at playing instruments as others

I suggest you learn to play songs on guitar that you really like, and you should feel more inspired to learn the song, and at the same time, you will be learning how to play the guitar.

Yes, when i started playing i practiced as much as i could EVERYDAY. keep going over the chords eventually it will become second nature. but you must practice everyday. even if you only know 3 chords, keep practicing them everyday. also try strumming with a different rythmn each time.

Yes, that is HIGHLY normal, BUT you will eventually get it. You won't become a pro overnight. Just keep practicing until you get better.
Good Luck!
