Love knows no boundaries, neither time, distance or anything else. It hurts when they don't want you around. Don;t stop caring. Lets hope that time will heal the rift.

uh , yeah, isn't that what they call unconditional love, selfish love is when you love someone and expect it back, that's the part I have a problem with the representation of god in the bible, god loves us only if we bow down and worship him. it's not unconditional love. but it is represented as unconditional love most of the time. so you have good reason to expect it back, you are taught that from early childhood. I sincerely hope god is different than what the bible portrays. a jealous god, a murdering god. "but god is love" ( so we are taught)

Depends on the situation?
Are they reliant on you for medical reasons?
Are they bedridden?
Is this a partner you are talking about ?

Bottom line is I wouldn't - why put yourself through stress, time and energy on a person that does like like you or want you around.

Most likely I would not. I'm a big fan of respecting peoples wishes. If I'm not wanted, I have no problem high-tailing it out of there.
