I know everyone will immediately assume Hip Hop artists talk crap and that's that... but listen to Immortal Technique. Some of his lyrics are incredible, based mainly around the political structure of the world... focusing on the US.
For example, Peruvian Cocaine tells the story of how Cocaine is made, and the people that suffer as a result
Bush Knocked Down the Towers tells of how Bush is responsible for 9/11
And then there's "Dance With the Devil"... anybody i know that has ever listened to this song has just been blown away by it. If youre going to listen to this, do so properly, dont just look up the lyrics as you really need the music to appreciate it properly.
So yes, Immortal Technique by a looooong shot.

I think concerned citizen is right and i dont know of many artists that bring awareness through all their music but there are many artists who have released singles that have a message such as why-jadakiss, where is the love-bep, lupe fiasco-daydreamin, talib kweli has a lot of political content in his songs, waiting on the world to change- john mayer, etc. As far as them doing any good, i think they do loads of good. all the artists above hav a younger fan base (majority) and as you know, the youth today isnt very educated on current issues, and i dont think they give those issues any importance either. I think these songs can help inspire them to look into it more.

I personally think Evanescence is doing a great job at it. Amy Lee (lead singer) is actually the official celebrity spokesperson for epilepsy, a condition in which victims suffer from involuntary seizures. Her brother has the disease, and so she decided to raise awareness about it. She's trying to get people to understand that people with epilepsy can lead, full and normal lives, too. All the prejudice is wrong. So... everyone go to www.outoftheshadows.com and pledge to help raise epilepsy awareness!

that's that the form of perplexing difficulty. i'm keen to stick out my neck and declare that for the time of spite of the undeniable fact that there are honestly men suffering DV, the quantity is nowhere close to proportionate to women human beings. legislations has continuously been a difficulty, by fact there are people who will abuse it for their very very own ends. There are women human beings doing this every day and that i'm particular some men could abuse it too given the prospect. the difficulty with violence against men is that it has continuously been of the hidden form: a superb form of psychological torment and the actual injuries are frequently small and cumulative fairly than something you need to march all the way down to the police station with and document a criticism; and how many men document a criticism besides? in actuality that greater women human beings than men finally end up on mortuary slabs each and every 3 hundred and sixty 5 days as a effect of being quickly crushed by companions. i does no longer recommend something that removes any protections to decrease this. a superb form of the artwork for men ought to be to alter the regular public theory and the perceptions of regulation and the police who look to have an in-built theory that all and sundry DV occurrences are male on woman, preferable to automatic arrest of guys. the assumption is supposedly to get rid of the factor maximum probable to reason injury, yet this could be a prejudiced infringement of rights. As an aside: the rule regulation (that a guy ought to triumph over his spouse with a stick no thicker than his thumb) develop into continuously a fantasy in English regulation. the difficulty develop into that it develop into continuously taken as a actuality and the thickness of the stick on no account mattered besides. the desire to settle for this regardless says lots approximately DV.
