My friend and I are having a heated debate on the subject of "Experimenting". She says if a girl "experiments" with another girl, the girls should not be considered as lesbian or bi-sexual. I think that is considered being a lesbian or whatever but I want to know what you guys think.

Well if she's attracted to women and men she's bisexual, hands down.

If she's experimenting, and doesn't enjoy it, then she's heterosexual. Though why a heterosexual woman would be in that situation to begin with would put it all in doubt, she just likely wouldn't be caught there, it's not logical.

It's like a straight man going to a gay bar to pick up chicks, doesn't make any sense.

Experimenting is just that, an experiment. If it continues beyond one or two encounters then it is no longer experimenting. So, if a girl merely experiments with another girl, then no, she should not be considered bi or lesbian. Just because a person is curious and wants to try something out does not mean that they will like what they have tried and continue to participate in it. I was raised vegetarian, as a teen I decided I wanted to try meat, I tried it, a few times. I didn't like it, so I am still a vegetarian. Trying it out a couple of times did not make me a carnivore. See where I am going with this thought process? Any way, that's just my opinion, take what you want and leave the rest.

Many people experiment at some point of thier lives and it does mean your anything.
Bi is kinda ambiguous, and I would say I was bi when I was in my teens and 20's but my attraction is much stronger for men now so I identify more as gay.
One of my best friends in my teens and I used to play around once in a while and he is kinda the opposite of me now as he identifys as straight.
Labels are just that, a label.
Straight, gay, bi....does it really matter if your happy?
Good luck in your own search.

Maybe... But sometimes if I'm feeling super stubborn and have already argued that I'm right before I realize I'm wrong, I may not admit it.

I agree. Experimenting with a girl would not make her a lesbian or bisexual. If I kissed a girl I wouldn't consider myself straight or bisexual. I was just curious.

No, it is only that way if you keep going back, and i have done it ONE time, an it won't happen again, It was not for me, i like men way to much.. When you experiment, that is all it is... Take example, So, you don't smoke, but you tell your friend hey let me smoke one and see what the big deal is, Well you smoke and that isn't something for you, then you leave it alone, but if you keep going back, then you are a smoker.. See what i am trying to say? Just to help a little bit. I tried it one time, when i was DRUNK, and i got up, an was like ummm no this isn't for me... LOL.. So, it is just like a try out.. Either it works or it don't.

i think that if you really wanted to try it then you have some kind of bi-sexual tendency. i think that experiementing is just they way to find out if that is what you really want. i feel that people get bi-sexual when they try to be with the same sex and like it. i think that being homosexual has just always been there and its no chance.

Actual experimenting is just trying it to see if one likes it. Then again some people are hooked but still say that they're "just experimenting."
