He made a mistake; we all have. He made a couple of mistakes; we all have!!!

He does a lot of good things for charitable causes!!

He made a public apology and is making a private apology.

Do you think we should boycott his sponsors to prevent him from being fired?

Listeners listen to hosts like Imus and stern because they are outrageous and don't conform to social standards of politically correctness.

I think this is just blown out of proportion....Don't listen to them if you want political correctness. Plain and simple.

Should they be banned from the air because they won't conform? No. No one is forced to listen.

I didn't read this until after Imus was fired, but I think he can now go on as an independent somewhere & find a new set of followers to support him. A boycott most likely would do no good for any of the people involved in this.

i in no way cared what Imus theory relating to the females Rutgers basketball team formerly this and that i don't care what he thinks now, no person could. all of you who're taking offense to his comments might desire to calm down and not concern relating to the comments or jokes of somebody meaning not something to you. if Dave Chapelle (who i'm prepared on) have been to assert those self same phrases for the period of his upward push up not a single guy or woman might protest for him to retire from comedy. the ingredient is: WHY could WE CARE? enable human beings say what they choose and in case you don't love it then ignore approximately them, its not that perplexing and it makes existence so plenty extra relaxing because you're actually not with regards to your self with insignificant BS. we DO stay in a rustic that has loose speech and prefer it or not that includes speech that we are able to possibly not choose to pay attention, yet only like while the KKK is spreading their rubbish the wiser human beings pay no interest to it. and on the unusual probability that someones childrens have been watching Imus while he reported that then all you are able to desire to do is slightly freaking parenting and clarify on your toddlers why its important to appreciate others and that they're going to probable pay attention. people who hold forth tolerance might desire to tolerate intolerance.

i think he made a mistake.
i think that some of these black leaders are having a hayday because imus is white. they arent beating down the doors of blacks who use those same words EVERYDAY in media (music esp). what the guy did was wrong, but its not news to the extent that it is being covered. its not my decision wether they guy gets fired or not, however i think its probably in his employers best interests, unless they want the mothership hovering over their corporate headquarters

Yes, he made some mistakes, this wasn't his first. It cost him his job. This happens. He has the opportunity to use this to change things within the industry, to promote respect and equality for all, whether he'll do it or not is another story.

we all have done it said remarks that can be racial or sexist or whatever the only difference with him is he is a celebrity n he got caught saying it across the country it happens every year last year it was mel gibson with his anti-semitic remarks, isiah washington with his homophobic remarks and that do from seinfield with his racial comments. So this is going to blown over as long as he apologize face to face to them he should be cool.

He did get fired. Today. However, then Howard Stern needs to go too, and all the foul-mouthed comedians at there also, to name a few.
