Could he get in there and go for a Republican nomination for 2008, responding to the cries of "four more years"?

Unfortunately the democrat party have already submarined any chance he might have had with their "Hate Bush" propaganda they have subjected the American public to since 2000. However if you think about it, neither one of their challengers could have done half of the great job President Bush has keeping us safe, growing the economy, etc.

Jeb will probably be a Senator from Florida from 2010 to 2017 and President from 2017 to 2025. Having said that... (and I am a Republican), I think it is the worst thing that can be done. First of all, GW Bush isn't exactly the most popular person. Secondly, we are a democratic republic, not a monarchy. We can't keep having endless Bush's and Clitnon's. The fact that Bush Sr. said that he would like to see both his sons in the White House sounds so anti-democratic, like all he has to do is make a phone call and they become President.

Jeb Bush isn't running for President, at least not for 2008. His brother George has ruined that possibility for him, probably on a permanent basis. He'll be leaving one of the worst Presidential legacies of modern times behind him and this country isn't going to forget that for a long time. I'm not even commenting about Jeb, honestly I don't know that much about him. But he could be Saint Jeb and it wouldn't matter, George has divided this country and is in the process of splintering the Republican Party. If there are cries of "four more years" it is from the paltry 38% or so that still approve of George Bush's Presidency and they too will follow him blindly into the dark when he finally leaves office in '09. They'll be a new Democratic Sheriff in town to clean up his mess and set this country back on track.

I like your choice of the word "seizing".

It implies the use of force.

It was a rather forceful way that George W. and his people "seized" the presidency in 2000 despite the fact that Al Gore won the popular vote.

I've always liked Jeb Bush, but the American people have had their fill of presidents bearing that last name! And that isn't likely to change for quite some time.

Besides, I hardly think he has any burning desire to attempt to clean up the big mess and to repair the serious damage that his brother's administration has created!

I like the Bush family but I doubt Jeb Bush will run for President.

Jeb has less chance of becoming President than I have of winning the lottery. Why do you think poppa Bush cries whenever he sees his little Jebthro?

He has no chance of stepping foot in the white house anytime soon, his brother ruined that chance for him. I doubt he'll even have that good of a chance in 2012. I'm a republican but I'm glad that Bush is out the door soon. Just my opinion, no offense people!

His brother ruined any chance he had. He's actually a lot smarter than George but shot himself in the foot with the Terri Schivo debacle.

You are joking, right?
right now the last thing this country need is another Bush in the office. I personally would like to see John Edwards in the Oval Office.
