It is the Ross-Ice shelf and the Trans-Antarctic Mountains in Antarctica, some 2,800 miles away from any permanent human settlements, besides McMurdo Sound and the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station.
Most remote uninhabited island of the world is Bouvet, located in the South Atlantic, at 54° 25' S, 3° 25' E, and the most remote inhabited island is Tristan da Cunha, also in the South Atlantic at 37° 06' S, 12° 16' W.

Remote is a relative term. However the steep most higher peaks are still remote. Amazon Basin interior part too, is one of the remotest place on the earth. In Antarctica Mt Vinson Massif is also the same.
