Im not concerned at all about the drug test...being the fact that i dont even smoke at all...im just worried about the backround check and they see that i shoplifted...do you think SEARS would hire me or not because of that minor detail? Please and thanks guys.

ok let me clarify...theyve already given me like..a parent consent drug test paper...which means all i have to do is drug test...why would they waste all my time ...getting me to do a drug test...and all that and not hire me? you know?so i think all their concerned about is the drug test.

If it shows up on the background check...I doubt they'll hire you....sorry. Being that they are a retail outlet and you were caught shoplifting, they probably won't want to take a chance on you. However, it also depends if you were convicted or not. Just simply being arrested may not show up, but if you were convicted, it would.

Unless it was formally recorded with the police on your shop lifting otherwise there is no way Sears would be able to find out.
