Of course! My mother never accepted my husband and he's a wonderful man and father...but that's her issue, not mine. It's about OUR happiness, not hers...get it? Good.

Yes if you love that person, no one should get in the way of your happiness. You are the one that has to live with your partner not them.

it depends on why they do not accept that person. if it's something like race or religion, marry the person if you love them and it's a healthy relationship. your family will come around. if it's because the relationships isn't healthy and they're concerned for your safety and wellbeing, step back and think a bit before you make anything permanent. in the end, though, it's up to you.

Yes u should, if that person makes U happy and U love that person I think u should. I see it this way U r the only person who has to live and wakeup everyday to ur partner.

Yes I would... My parents are not the ones who have to love my partner I am...
If my parents chose to not at least tolerate my partner they would lose me because I have to live my own life...

You should totally get married. love is all that matters and that's what lasts. Unless it is a same sex relationship, then you shouldn't. Because that's bad.

my parents dont like my partner but i married my soul mate if they dont like it tuff we changed our wedding date 5 times becuase of them .. its my happiness not theres
