I have been in my school's Drama club for a while and I am interested in getting into directing when i am older. Does anyone know how I can go about this, with areas as in colleges and such? Thanks in advance.

I'm in college, doing that very thing. Unless you go to a conservatory, or a very specialized theatre department, you probably won't be able to specialize in directing as an undergrad. Go to a good school and get your BFA, take as many directing courses as possible. Then you can go to grad school for directing.
Also, try to student-direct shows now, and see if you can work on shows in your community, doing anything. Don't limit yourself to directing- the more you know about everything that goes into putting a show up, the better director you'll be.

Ask your drama club if you can be an Assistant Director. Once you feel comfortable, ask if you can direct.

You can major in Drama in College. You will get to do many things, direct, lighting design, stage design and everything involved with putting on a prodution.
