Nashville. The economy here is booming and we have a great job market. Major companies like Nissan and Caremark have relocated thier headquarters here. The city is safe and there is plenty to do. I moved here seven years ago and I love it.
The downside, the housing market is pretty hot, so property may be cheaper in Dayton.

San Diego has nothing on East Coast cities when it comes to ghettos. I grew up in Philadelphia and I have been living in SD for 15 years now, and I have never seen anywhere in SD that even comes close, and I've lived in Linda Vista also. I don't know if you can say one is worse than the other, but Philly, Baltimore, Camden NJ, New York all have pretty bad ghettos, Detroit and Chicago do as well. I've heard places in Cleveland and Cincinnati can be pretty bad, St. Louis also has some shady places. Pretty much any city that is a major metropolis and has a large population has areas that the average citizen stays away from.

NASHVILLE, you have all 4 true seasons there and it is such a growing town. People are really sleeping on Nashville, but it is a happening city!
I moved from there last year but was there for 12 years in college. It is a cool city! I would go back but for personal reasons I left the city! I do miss it!

Very different towns. Nashville is larger and has all the accouterments of a major city, even though the city population is under 700,000. Dayton still has industrial overtones and is in a colder climate. It has a smaller town feel. So, it depends on what you're looking for.
