lol~Yes, an unusual place to find this type of question - am having a bad day and it seems many others are - I am not very astrologically inclined, so that's the only thing I could come up with!

No, neither Mercury's orbit, nor it's rotation on it's axis is retrograde.
It was thought for a long time that it was tidaly locked to the Sun as the Moon is locked to the Earth, but even that has been discovered to be wrong.
What an unusual place to find this question. . .
