is this question as hard to answer as "rolling stones or the beatles" ?

No, both are easy for me. CCR is better because Foggerty gave a voice to people that were being ignored, and was brilliant at evoking empathy with their plight. And, Sir Paul is the most successful composer to date, and (IMO) without Heather, the nicest, most down to earth fellow I've ever had the pleasure of chatting with. Give me a great Ballad (Down on the Corner) over a great anthem (We Are the Champions) any day.

I have to agree with Lauren J. Queen kicked major buns in the day, but CCR has staying power!!!

Both are truly great bands, but Id have to say CCR, for wider appeal, and more songs that we can sing along to and know the words of.

Queen died with Freddy, sadly. Paul Rogers just can't fill those shoes.
