I'm going to Vegas for the first time next March for 2/3 nights as part of a three week trip tp California and am planning well ahead as u might have guessed ;-) I really want to do one of the trips to the Grand Canyon and was just wondering could anybody please tell me...
i. Is it worth doing?
and
ii. Which is the best way of doing the tour, by ground, plane or helicopter?

Any info from any locals or people who have gone on these trips would be of great help! Thanks :-)

If you want the best go with a helicopter tour. This way you can do it all. See the Grand Canyon from the rim, from the air and they will take you into the Canyon to land at the bottom. It's an awesome experience, while you're at it you might as well go with the best.

The Grand Canyon has a people problem. It is being loved to death. Yes, it is worth doing, but expect to find some people panacea attempts by park staff who are all but out of their depth. Aircraft seem to collide with things more often than one might expect over the canyon due to frequent traffic
and invisible but rapid shifts in air movement. Have a good one. I'd suggest less crowded north rim vistas and Navaho/
Zuni jewelry found a tad northward. The classic trip is still by
mule train to a catered waterhole and back; don't bother to
inquire unless you can afford First Class. Everything else is
Second and Third Class. You can smell the proof of that.
