how do you double space and half space on microsoft word pad?

I had trouble with this too! Actually, what you do is quite simple:
1 set the paper margins however you desire
2. print preview
3. look at the last word on the first line on the print preview and remember that word
4. close out of the print preview
5. find that word and click on it
6. press enter at the end of the word and press enter again to get double spacing
7. repeat with the second and thrid ... lines until you doubled spaced all of it
just look at print review it will tell you how your paper will look

CTRL 2, does set it to doublespace lines, but I don't see any way to halfspace.
