French kissing is the same thing world wide, maybe with a different name, but it is still kissing with an open mouth and with the use of the tongue. I've never heard of American kissing. I assume you mean kissing with the mouth closed. I would assume that both are performed in every country.

According to stats americans and british are not fond of the french so why on earth would they want to french kiss?

Normal American kissing? Are you asking about the European custom (not all countries) of greeting friends & family with a kiss on each cheek? Or are you asking about intimate kissing with your tongue, which I hope you are not doing with your family & friends?
