Garlic is easy to grow. Separate the bulb into individual cloves, and plant, tip up, about an inch or two down (NOT 6 inches like a tulip bulb!) in well drained soil, full sun.

It's growing in your fridge because it's programmed to send up a shoot to find the light. It may have started to grow in your fridge, but it won't be able to "complete its mission" in there.

garlic is a bulb. You plant bulbs beneath the surface of the soil some 6 inches deep and there is no light there either. Plant it it will get accustomed. good luck

what's happening is it thinks it is in ground and sprout is searching for light. Take the bulb and plant it leaving the green out of the ground. it will grow.

because it is not a plant. it is a fungi and fungi grow in the dark. that is if you are talking about the green stuff that grows on your food.
