what is 36m^2-84m+49?
and how do i get the answer?

it is the completion of a square here

(6m-7)^2
6m x6m=36m^2
6m x-7=-42m doubled because you are squaring the problem..so it is -84m
-7^2=49
36m^2-84m+49

(a-2b)^2 same idea as the first one

(6m - 7)(6m -7) The middle and outer 2 add up to - 84m.


(a - 2b)(a - 2b).

Find factors of the first and last that add or subtract to giev the middle term.
