Child labor laws do not say children can't work. They just limit it to certain jobs and hours. That is why twins are used to play a single child in many tv shows. They only have to work half the time each. They must be provided with tutors and a major portion of their pay must be put into a trust account until they become an adult.

When i was growing up in California, the legal age for working was 3 months. That was to accommodate show business. There are strict laws about how and when children of a certain age can work.
I began working at age 14 . I worked at a dry cleaners for 4 years.Too bad i wasn't a movie star.
The laws may have changed by now.

depending on what kind of movie your talking about, they do. there are also laws that limit the amount of time minors can work. if minors work during the school year, they bring their regular school work to the set with them and have school on the set. the film co has to hire a teacher/social worker to be on the set and see the children aren't put into unsafe conditions. one of the childs parents has to be on the set whenever
their kids work.

they don't prohibit but protect them from working too many hours at the expense of education. but these stars are rich and have private tutors who can say they taught them at home when in fact they did not.

WHy would they? There are strict laws on the movie sets, the kids can work only certain hours of the day, and only for so long, plus they must be provided tutors for education.
