Some one just gave me an entire bag of clothes and most are dry clean only. I avoid the label "dry clean only" when I buy things ;-)

You can wash them with COLD WATER ONLY on a GENTLE cycle, or short cycle. DO NOT DRY THEM IN DRYER !!!!!!! Either lay flat or hang to dry items. My wife does this all the time. Good luck.

You risk shrinking, fading or pilling when you put dry clean only clothes in the washing machine.

Try Dryell. It's a DIY cleaning kit for dry clean only clothing.

The only times I've washed DCO clothing in the regular wash, the garment shrunk and the lining didn't... and it looked all funny.

if it is wool it will ruin it. rayon and silks can be handwashed in many cases, just be sure to press immediately.
