you need a dryer vent to let out the moist air out of the building. more then likely where the hole is in the back of the dryer to hook up the hose to vent outside is plugged with lint so your not getting any air circulation in the dryer. clean out the hole and see what happens. then vent it . also make sure your lint trap is clean with the hole to the trap also cleaned out.

Your dryer vent may be clogged. I had that problem a couple of years ago and had to take the back off the dryer and vacuum all the lint out. I thought my dryer was broken but once I did that it was ok.
Your heating element may be going bad also.

you have to have a dryer vent somewhere. Is the dryer getting hot? If not, then the heater element is burned out.
Where does the exhaust air go, if you have no vent? That is air that is full of moisture and needs to be exhausted.

If you don't have a vent, get one. Sounds like the vent is plugged up. That air has to go somewhere.

Maybe your heating element is going. On the back there is a panel, remove and you will see the element, it may need replacing. Fairly easy diy job, ask at the appliance parts place, they are very helpful.
