I have long ago given up believing that Republicans act in the national interest. The last 6 years prove that they only look out for the interests of their own party and that of the corporations who have hijacked their loyalty with large donations. Their record proves this again and again. If they can't be trusted to act in the best interests of this country, how can any of them be qualified to be president after '08?

A very excellent question. Everything they accuse the other parties for doing, they have done many fold. Who next of the "good ol' boys" are going to be found out in the next two years? Seems they have something against intelligence and education in their leaders. I know of none just now that I think are qualified for office.

Did you notice the record millions Hillary and Obama took in ? Do you think that was 20 bucks here and there from people like you and me?
Did you notice when you read through your tax preparation guide this year the little thing called "child tax credits" brought to your family by the Bush administration ?
How about the reduction of the marriage penalty, another Bush gift to married couples. You liberals talk the talk, but you don't walk the walk. These tax cuts helped poor and middle class families alot. Now the new Pelosi Possee has handed us a new budget which will allow our tax cuts to expire, resulting in the largest tax increase in history. And by the way, those mean old corporations are providing us with jobs, welfare is providing us with nothing. In case you have not noticed, employment is over 94% in this country. I'll take my tax cuts and a party that wants to defend our country anytime over a bunch of socialist Democrats who want to redistribute my paycheck as they see fit.

ALL politicians are like that! If you think only Republicans are guilty, you've been brain-washed by "Guess Who?"... The other side!

If we elect a party that doesn't believe in government, I guess we shouldn't be suprised when they fail to govern.

you said: "Their record proves this again and again"
are you just repeating someone else or do you actually have examples of this "record"?

Amen to that. I wonder the same thing! All they care about is money and big business.
