The Imus thing really bothered me. Say there was a black comedian who said offensive things about white people. If there were a white person pushing to have him taken off the radio, wouldnt he be considered a racist?

Just wanted some more opinions.

I am not against any group of people. But the double standard made by society bothers me.

Anyone who tries to stand up for rights or non-minorities or to stand against the actions of certain members of a minority group are called racists. There is no need to by hypothetical. Look at, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, and Bill O'Reilly, they get called racists all the time and I have never heard them say anything that was racist. Just saying minorities should not have special treatment makes you a racist in our society.

I don't think the white community at large would put up with a racist like Sharpton. Except maybe Robertson seems to meet those poor standards.
My problem is that I think Imus was very wrong for saying what he did, however Sharpton is no person to make a big deal out of it, After Tawana Brawley lied along with Sharpton when they tried to destroy some white guys. Imus does so much good, that I feel should be part of the issue here. He has a hospital wing in his name for kids with cancer, he built a ranch to bring sick kids for a 2 week vacation, all expenses paid. Sharpton just reaches into peoples pockets and lives well

whilst did Sharpton call Imus a Cracker? Imus stated that he, himself became right into a cracker, no longer any opposite direction around. i do no longer look after Sharpton and that i desire to ask, what's on the girl's ipods? there's a double common and the place do you start up? Black comedians make exciting of white human beings each and every of the time, what could ensue if a white guy or woman made exciting of a black human beings?

People would consider him racist, and that bothers me. Do you think if we had WET (White Entertainment Television) it would be banned? Probably. Its just sad.
