I think the Duke Lacrosse players were treated more unfairly than the Rutgers women's basketball team. The Duke players faced charges of up to 10 years in prison. The women's basketball team only got their egos hurt.

So why is there so much news coverage about the Rutgers incident?

Duke, by far. These guys have a stained rep, lost their coach, can't go to school, and no one seems to care.

Nappy headed ho's is bad, but being accused of something u didn't do tops that by far, especially when u can face 10 years in prison, and it's all a ******* lie.

Plus, no one is blaming the "victim" of this Duke case. She ruined many lives, and SHE should face 10 years in prison.

Definitely Duke, they were accused of a major crime without any evidence. Those three Duke players are probably gonna have a hard time finding a job after college .
The only reason why there is more news coverage now is because the Rutgers thing just recently happened. Compared to where the duke thing happened 1 year ago.

I think both were unfair but Duke Lacrosse maybe a little more. The players got kicked out of school and their good reputations gone. Rutgers Women's basketball team got a lot of attention because it was a rascist comment and a lot of people were offended, and a lot of people feel they are effected by it. But, last year when the Duke players were accused they got as much attention as the Rutgers team is getting now, maybe even more. Since Imus has been fired the news goverage will start die down.

The Rutger's women's basketball team is nothing compared to the Duke lacrosse players. Those players will always have a mark on the rest of their lives.

Because of racism the Rutgers women's team will and is getting more rage. The fact that the Duke players were accused of rape and the evidence proved they were innocent there can be no unringing of the bell. The DA was bent on trying to convict them so that even after he found out the evidence did not support it he kept pressing forward. The DA tested all but one of the players on Dukes team so 45 DNA tests were performed and none of the players were linked to the rape. Imus was just a sexist and racist in his remarks. He has lost much in this stupid action by him. Now lets see if the role is reversed if anyone rages for a dismissal in reverse racism?

The Duke players were white and its okay to treat white people like trash. Not my opinion, but that's how the US is in this day and age.

By the way some of the Rutgers girls had dread locks when they played in the game Imus spoke of. At the press conference to condem Imus they all had their hair straightened. What is the meaning of that? They're more sensative about bad hair than about being called a whore?

Duke. The Rutgers situation, although wrong involved words, hate, and perception of an misguided individual. The Duke victims were deprived of their rights, reputation, education at Duke and pursuit of their athletic dreams. Once people stop looking at things in Black and White, the world would be a much better place.

Defiantly Duke. I don't see what the big deal was about the whole Rutgers incident. People say derogatory things about others all the time. Imus just happened to be on the air when it happened, and people flipped. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton were making huge deals out of it, but I bet they have said something hateful towards another in their life.

Duke....Coach fired, ruined the mens repetition, all kinds of negative situations occured (For a long period of time), because a intoxicated stripper, strected the truth and told a lie.

Rutgers women, Got called Nappy Headed hoes, I'm sure they are strong enough women to not let that get them down, People get called names all the time. That's part of life, you got to keep your head up, and move on.

Duke Lacrosse players definitely...The stripper was trying to fabricate a rape, and their whole life would have changed, academic at Duke-they would have gotten expelled, and professional life-a conviction of rape would have followed them around for the rest of their lives...

The Imus thing was just a stupid comment, but no one committed a crime...
