Just wondering. I have a good job, but it's very stressful. I've never worked retail. How much money does one make working in a store?

I just started working at Target a couple of weeks ago. The starting wage--at least in this area (the Midwest) is $7.00 hr. I had also applied at Kohl's. I think the starting wage was the same there. It may vary, though, depending upon the area of the country.

I use to work the overnight shift at Kohl's and they paid me 10 dollars an hour. But if u work during normal hours it would be minimum wage. I made like 400+ a week at kohl's. The same goes with Target if you work the overnight shift. This was also in Boston. So I guess the pay would be different in other states.Minimum wage in Boston is at least 7 dollars.

I think Target is unionized, so you probably get better benefits from them if not better pay as well.
