but what if a person is half white and half black would you still get offended?

Why should the be? Mexico was a large consumer of African slaves during the trade.

I do not appreciate Hispanics (who have no black in them whatsoever), anyone for that matter, using the word. I have had several hispanic people who were not black question my use of the word and get angry at me whe they had no business as I am black (but light skinned, almost white-looking). That bothered me and I proceeded to voice my opinion. But, I constantly hear Hispanic rappers using the word (ie Fat Joe) and I don't appreciate it whatsoever and what bothers me ever more is how black people do nothing, yet get angry when a white person uses it. The hispanic person is no more black than a white person and I don't think they have a right to use it.
I'm trying very hard not to use the word but it was how I grow up but I don't use the word in any environment other than a relaxed setting around friends and family, BUT I am making a concerted effort not to use the word.

Being from San Francisco i hear Latinos every day hey LiL joker *****..and my ***** this and my ***** that!! I don't believe in ANYONE constantly saying ***** ***** ***** black, white, or Chinese!! But living in a city like S.F Asians, Latins and every other race uses the term freely!! To answer the question am i cool with Latins using the word *****? No cuz half of them refer to black people as Miyates(****** in Spanish)!! But at the same time i know a hand full of Latinos whites and Asians that live in the projects and get away with it perfectly

Why would Mexicans get a free-pass so to speak? Just because they have darker skin too? Think about that and think about the hypocrisy and contradictions of modern liberalism. America has free speech and anyone can say ******. Whether or not people are going to like it is another story, although many of those who may not like you or Mexicans using it are hypocrites in their own right.

No I'm not. Frankly, I'm not cool with it, not matter WHO said it.
Also, I'm half white and half black. While I do know biracial people who do say the word, I can't on the account that I LOOK white.

Personally, i don't like anyone using that word. Even blacks, but that's just me. It's a word that has a terrible connotation to it and we just need to leave it alone and move away from it.
