Not hardly...it is becoming more of a "third world nation" because of the way it is being managed by corrupt politicians.

I think so. I was in South Central Texas for a few years and never met so many ignorant people in my life. The influx of immigration is causing out of control functional illiteracy. Crime was running rampant as well because they can't find employment that pays well. So some subsidize their income with criminal activity. I also spent some time in Southern Arizona and it was just as bad. You can check crime rates in any location by searching the net. What really worries me more than anything is the hatred of Americans by the immigrants who don't really have any inclination to learn the language but only have a "get the money and run agenda". I've heard too many of them claim that this was "Their Country"

America was built on immigration. That said, the current population of illegals are taxing the social aid erected for those with legitimate needs. They also don't pay their fair share of income taxes because they skirt the employment requirements.
From my experience, they also have zero desire to assimilate into the American way of life. This is evident by their little mexican communities and their refusal to learn English. A prime example is a group of mexicans who sued the state of Oregon because the test to become a hair stylist wasn't printed in Spanish, and of course, they couldn't read or speak English.
Catering to people like this will be America's downfall in the end.

A simple answer. No. It never has even though people have thought that for the past 100 years. It seems that history proves that the United States becomes stronger with each wave of immigration. The fears we hear about now have always been there. You only have to read the history of the US to know that. Immigration is a big strength and revitalization of the nation. Always has been and most likely always will. I do believe we have to control illegal immigration though.

Immigration brings low-priced hard artwork to boot as rather qualified human beings (talked approximately as concepts drain). it truthfully relies upon on the immigration coverage, that could replace in accordance to the desires of a central authority. the u . s . government is doing what that's doing now, by using some set plan. They be attentive to exactly what they're doing; so straightforward as that. the placement with immigration isn't coinsidential. united statesa. won't grow to be a 0.33 international us of a, however the wealthy will grow to be richer and the undesirable will grow to be poorer. and there is assorted center class to boot. it is the way political financial device works in u . s .. Immigration itself isn't the enemy of the widespread. The enemy is particularly the government it is probably not interested in mixing the "imported inhabitants" into society. An occasion of that's Sweden which has had the main social software of immigration. Now there are too many, and that they stay one after the different faraway from the city middle, not as mingling with the past settlers... One exciting occasion of ways immigration works is Portugal. It was a 0.33 international us of a. while it entered ecu, there have been tens of millions of immigrants (former colonies in Africa, Brasilians, Ukrainians, chinese language, Indus...), quite often unlawful human beings, employed in shape, production and amenities as low-priced hard artwork. they have had issues which they engaged into fixing, and the financial device is extra powerful working now, althouth now there is disaster and unemployment... consistent with probability payday to the cheap way of fixing.... the alternative of not allowing immigration sounds as undesirable option. It jogs my memory of South Korea because of the fact the only sturdy occasion the place that labored...

Yes. We cannot continue to give everything away just because you snuck in illegally. Look at our hospitals, the emergency rooms are filled with mexican immigrants wanting free health care and some idiot in washington proposed a law that said you have to treat them. That's ok, but who is paying for it. We the American taxpayers are and we are sick of it.
They are also changing our neighborhoods because they get a house and move al 45 of their family members in and the houses are not kept up and they run the neighborhood down.
And the public school system, don't even get me started. My children's quality of education is suffering because we have to cater to all the illegal immigrant kids and dumb down the education system so they can pass. They would pass if we left the standards high, but the stupid educrats in washington think we have to lower the standards because washington thinks that all immigrant children are stupid.
I could go on and on. Bottom line, I am pissed! Maybe it is time for a new American Revolution and get our country back!

Third World Country? Come on guys... we have the highest GDP in the world by about $10,000. We have a stable democracy, a military that could hold its own against any opposing alliance of nations, and an economy that dominates the global market. We have a stable (though pricey) medical system and emergency services that any American can be proud of. Did I mention safe drinking water? Some people need to look up what 'Third World' means.

Right now our middle-class seems to be holding up even though it is extremely fragile. I think a much larger percentage of our population would have be impoverished before you could say we were heading in that direction.
Now if you are really asking whether there are a lot of people living in America that came from third world countries...then the answer is an emphatic YES.

NO NO NO NO! That may be one of the most ignorant and stupid questions I've heard of. Would an immigrant from a 3rd world nation or better come to America if it was a 3rd world nation? NO NO NO NO.

It sure is, there are more and more cases of tropical diseases, we have more illiterate people coming in working for slave wages (sub-minimum wage). People commit crimes and simply return to their country of origin. And the list goes on. But on the plus side, if you are well off in a 3rd world country, you can live pretty darn well (I've been to South and Central America many times and the well off live very well there, they all have cheap maids, gardeners and other people to do the menial stuff for them and booze is cheap - need to have some cheap entertainment for the peasants).
