I'm interested in becoming one, uncertified to start, I need to know if the job is worth the money. I'm 23 with a HS Diploma, and need a challenging job to keep my interest. I'm making $9/hr right now at an office, but thrive for advancement and need to make more money. Any help you can, please?

actually you could start at about 8 dollars and youll get your .25 cent raise every 6 months or what ever, but if you take the test that they have, which might take 2 or 3 times to pass, you can start making about 10 ish or so...i know thats how walgreens is, idk about the other companies

Starting income for an uncertified tech is about $8-$9 an hour. Hospitals pay more for techs than retail pharmacies. The absolute most I've ever heard a pharm tech making in retail is about $15 per hour.

This may be a good choice for you as it's fast paced and has a lot of personal interaction with customers. I'd start by heading to my local pharmacy and asking to meet with the manager of the pharmacy and learning what you can about the position and opportunity. There is too much variability in pay and hours for anybody here to be able to give you a complete answer.

You will make $12 per hour tops (and thats after much advancement). It's an alright job I guess if you want to settle for that but for the same amount or a little more schooling you can get much better pay doing something else
