1- to learn more about somthing you are passionate about
2- just to be better educated, helps with getting jobs and meeting new people and it helps your confidence
3-It is a good in between of living at home and living on your own. If ur folks are paying your tuition or you get a grant or something then you don't have to pay rent, utilities, etc.
I didn't go to college but I wish that I had. Now I work full time and struggle to go to a tech school to try and catch up with where i could have been years ago.
good luck!
PS. people keep saying money but you only make alot of money if you pick a career that makes alot of money. Lots of people go to college for years and end up making the same amount of money I do as a high school drop out. Choose your career wisely!

1. Career Advancement. Survey after survey shows that College Grads make much more money and advance with relative ease than those with only a high school diploma.
2. Knowledge. High school will only give you so much. College gives you life knowledge as well as book knowledge that will serve you the rest of your life. You will learn to think for yourself.
3. The Fun!!! Co-Ed Girls are super-hot!!! There is nothing like a keger party!! Celebrating the Football/Basketball team's big win. Ordering in pizza at all hours of the night. Making out with your girl in the reference stacks of the library. Homecoming. You might even pledge a Frat. You'll remember this forever!

A high school degree only qualifies you to work in a fast food joint, or to be the lowest rank person in the military, nothing else. Even car mechanics require advanced training so they can do more than just change tires and a simple tune up. With the increasing advance of technology and the complexity in our society a high school degree just isn't worth much any more.
If you graduate college, even a technical or junior college then you can have the world open up to you. Giving you benefits like a good salary, a good job, acceptance in the adult world etc.

In college, you can:
1. Learn a lot of cool things that will become useful to you later.
2. When you get out of college you will have a better chance of getting a good job.
3. Your family and friends will admire you because you are so smart.

1. Education/Salary - You can get a higher paying job that you are more likely to enjoy (unless you major in theater or art... I have no idea how most of those people pay off their student loans. I am sure a few make it big, but they all can't).
2. Dedication - Getting your degree proves you can stick with something.
3. Networking - In addition to educating, colleges host career fairs that require you to be a student (or running a booth) to get into. These fairs make it very easy to meet representatives of companies. A lot of these reps tend to be alumni of that university.

I have three degrees, and I currently teach at a college. I can give you plenty of reasons why college is important. And I can do so from both my perspective and from my students' perspectives:
1. To learn about current events that can directly impact your freedom
2. To learn about the society around you and how it functions
3. To learn about other cultures
4. To learn about yourself, what you are good at, what you enjoy, and what you aren't so good at
5. To learn about people who differ from you
6. To learn ideas that help you understand life
7. To improve your speaking, writing, and communication skills
8. For personal growth, satisfaction, and fulfillment
9. To improve your social status
10. To make yourself more marketable for future jobs
11. To give you an area to become an expert in (your major)
12. To improve your chances for a higher salary
13. To meet new people
14. To make connections (when looking for a job, it's more who you know than what you know)
15. To enjoy the campus life (many colleges offer free music events, free food, social gatherings, etc.)
I could give you more, but I'll stop there. :)

Money and social standing are attainable without a college education. And if you want to go to college parties, just go; you don't need to be registered as a student at that college or any college.

1. It is expected of you if you have enough money and smarts
2. Employers like to see that a person is able to handle the rigors of college life (like for example STUDYING and not just hanging out with friends
3. You may meet your future bride/groom. And presumably they are also intelligent/savvy enough to get to and stay at college.
