I have two words for Sharpton: TAWANA BRAWLEY.
Sharpton owes the white police officer an apology for ruining his career and reputation after the girl lied about being raped.

I have one word for Jackson: HYMIETOWN.
Jackson owes the 3 Duke University students an apology. He was so quick to offer this LIAR Crystal Gail Mangum a free college education. I bet he's still going to give her a free education.

It's time for people to get on THEIR butts now. They're racists...much worse than Imus.

Papa Joe makes some excellent points about rappers and hip hoppers saying the "N" word, the "B" word, and the "F" word, etc.....I guess it's ok as long as you're black eh?

It's time for the black community to look within and stop blaming white people for all of their problems.

I've heard the words "slavery" and "suppresson" on TV regarding the Imus comment.....enough already....it's time for the black community to move on.

What if they said somethin about white people and it was just as ridiculous as what Imus said , that is not the first time Imus said some bs like that, don't get it twisted, the duke lacross players paid that girl off they didn't show you that part they just made it look like she was lyin, They have money and she didn't but now she does and that's what white america does they pay off the minority so they won't look bad, I live in NC when all this was going on I know everything that went down I am a law major so don't talk to me about justice, We have been facing injustice for years now, I just know how to rise above it all.

If there was ever a double standard this is one! I don't care for Sharpton or Jackson but lets keep it real. Imus got himself FIRED and Bernard McGuirk (executive producer) who first said "hardcore ho's" is just as wrong as Imus. Imus needed to go. There has to be a line drawn.

With that said, he isn't gonna be the last person to push the free speech envelope. All I can say is to wrongs dont make a right.

What I know is some ladies were insulted by a well paid media professional on a liberal network and due to the
public outrage is presently unemployed. What I know is
the same verbiage has insulted other citizens from a well
paid media professional (and convicted substance abuser)
on a conservative network and dispite previous public outrage remains so employed. The Rev. Al Sharpton and
Jessie Jackson answer to their religion and upon death all
things are judged but last I heard neither was working those
airwaves quite like Mr. Imus. Um, on their butts, are you?

Everyday on evry radio station we have rappers singing(and I use that word very loosly) songs tha spew remarks a hell of alot worse than what Imus said. Yet there is no out rage agaianst Sony, Universal, or any of the artisit that in essence have made this kind of talk mainstream. If Snoop dog had said congrtas to my nappy headed hos not a single media outlet, nor a single poverty pimp would have come forward. He would have been invited to Rutguers to say oit again. Waht Imus said was wrong, but the reaction to it is blown way out of controll. When are we as a society find these kind of remarks and words out rageous for anyone to say. Awful hypocritical if you ask me.

I recall the Tawana case. Both parties( Al & Jessie) was ready to take on the the entire police dept. Turned out she lied. Yes they marched for justice for Tawana. And what about the stripper that lied about the Duke students, al and jessie were there again, another injustice marching for the stripper. I think the stripper that made up these lies should be prosceuted along with Nyfong. And al and jessie need a JOB!

Opportunists without a conscience.

Here's as on duke.

With us now civil rights activist Reverend Al Sharpton. Is this a racial issue?

REV. AL SHARPTON, CIVIL RIGHTS ACTIVIST: I think that there are certainly a lot of racial factors. Whether it is directly in the case, we'll see, because some reports said that there was racial language used. But I think that when you look at the racial atmosphere, when you look at the fact that there again were the allegations of racial statements, when you look at a lot of people feeling that they have been treated differently, where this girl has basically had a character charged in the media, there is a lot of racism that's in the air. Having said that, I commend a lot of the blacks and whites who stood vigil and to come together in that community to stand up for this girl. So I think in the midst of this, there is some good."

I think the yare both racist. They are looking for the attention. In my eyes...yes Imus was wrong and shouldn't have said that BUT he didn't deserve to be fired. I hear Sharpton and Jackson ALWAYS on the whites cases. I'm SOOOO sorry the blacks were in slavery a hundred years ago, but it hasn't affected ANYONE in this generation. They need to move on and stop using something we had no control over against us. It's not like we personally put them in slavery and it's not like THEY actully went through it.

Let Imus come back on the Air..his show is very funny. He made a mistake..he was sorry..let's move on..All this name calling doesn't bother me anyway..Sharpton, Jackson Imus..let them all rant and rave all they want..let everybody say what they want...we need to really deal with real issues...the races can't get along until we actually talk about all of this rather then worry and monitoring what everyone is saying.

I pledged $20 to Imus' Radiothon to support him.

People are too focused on what words are used and not enough on how words are used. Imus may not have chosen the best words, but he wasn't trying to be offensive. He was mimicking rap music, which uses those words prolifically. Do you really think an age white cowboy would know that phrase if it wasn't for rap music? Al and Jesse should concentrate on their own before attacking others.

I think what Imus said was stupid, but I don't think it was worth trashing his career. I think they were double jerks for pulling him off on the day of a radiothon where he usually gets millions of dollars to help kids. It just shows that morality really isn't their concern. It's all just about stupid political correctness.

If they are still accepting contributions, their number is 877-877-6464.

Yes...I think you are right. Imus made similar comments about all the races...guess he thought that was funny...and his one "off the wall" comment got leaped on....my guess is they were watching for it to happen, because Jesse and Al need someone to help them get their racist agenda going....and they are the worst because they are using their own people as victims for their agenda.

And money...for them...is the name of the game.

So I will defend the right of Imus to say anything he wants to, but our rights to not buy from his advertisers and get him off the air. He shouldn't have been fired....they should have let the people do it....we don't have to put up with any racist comments. ...or with Jesse and Al trying to make up things to keep themselves going.

It is society that decides what is acceptable behavior for our children. And we are well able to do that without people like Jesse and Al creating racial wars. Parents are pretty much together in what they want their children to hear. So why do we put up with foul language in the movies, violence, etc. and then expect our children to not follow in what they have learned from them? It doesn't make sense, and it is ruining our society. Children will model what they see and hear.
