Being Stupid, Nasty, and Rude is NOT a crime.
I don't really understand the objections to what he said, after all, what part of "Shock-Jock" don't they understand?
I wouldn't have any problem with outlawing the language spewed by Imus, Stern, most rappers, and others, but I am not the dictator and there aren't enough people that feel the same way to get such a law passed. So, live with it. Who really cares if they are nappy haired hoes or not? Ann Coulter gets called a lot worse than that and she laughs about it. In fact, she laughs all the way to the bank.

The only thing that will quell the Liberal left's thirst for blood is to eliminate all of talk radio. The left can't compete on a logical level so they resort to total elimination.

I am sure that is the next step in the "Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson shakedown tour". We all know that Imus is the worst person in America, not those guys who drag black people from the backs of trucks or rappers who beat up their "ho's" to keep them in line. Oh and they say Bush is worse than Hitler and Stalin, too.

Absolutely not! It would create an even greater uproar than the already unnecessarily large one there is. The government would be infringing on a man's first amendment rights. FIRST AMENDMENT! He had every right in the world to say it, whether it was unintelligent or not. Yes, he should have been fired, but he simply slipped up and said a "bad thing". I think he's an idiot, but I think it would be absolutely outrageous if he went to jail, and it simply would not happen.

Sure, why not everyone else is pilling on him right now as free speech no longer matters. I don't care for Imus but come on.

'Thirst for blood?'
This debacle doesn't strike me as particularly unique in it's virulence. Just another case of the Politically Correct crowd flexing thier muscle.
And, no, obviously the guy shouldn't go to jail - no crime, no time.

"Thirst for blood"? You sound as hysterical as the people your'e criticizing. Why is this so important to you? Who cares about Imus? And what if Imus gets a better job and starts making more profits for his new station than his old station that fired him?

This reminds me of how Al Sharpton was there when the false rape charges were brought against three innocent young men in the Duke case--------he was screaming for 'a pound of flesh' then also.
