Gay often referes to men, but can mean women too-homosexual
Lesbian only refers to women who are homosexual
Bisexual is a man or woman that is attracted to both men and women.
Transvestite is a person who dresses in the clothes of the opposite sex (usually men, we say they are dressed in drag)
Transexuals are usually divided into pre-op and post-op. Mostly men taking female hormones to develop breasts, soft skin, etc. Then some of them actually have an operation to get something like a vagina made of their penis.

Gay male is a man who is attracted to other men ONLY.

Gay female, otherwise known as a lesbian- is a woman who is attracted to other women ONLY.

Bisexual is either male or female who is attracted to both sexes. Some claim to be bisexual with a stronger PREFERENCE towards a certain sex.

Transgendered does not imply any specific form of sexual orientation — transgender people may identify as queer, heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, pansexual or asexual.

A transgender individual may have characteristics that are normally associated with a particular gender, identify elsewhere on the traditional gender continuum, or exist outside of it as "other,"

Hope this helps.

gay is the term used for all homosexuals (someone who likes people of their same gender) lesbians or d*kes are what gay women are called (but d*ke can be seen as horribly offensive) same as fag means a homosexual man (again, fag can be offensive to some people)

A Bisexual is someone who likes both boys and girls, and doesnt mind either gender when choosing a sexual partner.

Transgendered means someone who identifies with the opposite sex to the extent that they want to be the opposite sex. A boy who wants to be a girl, or a girl who wants to be a boy. This does not nessicarrily make them gay, however. Normally it does, but there are exceptions. I just means that the person as an individual relates more to the opposite sex and/or acts more like the opposite sex

A transexual is someone who has actually had a sex change operation to make themselves a member of the opposite sex.

I hope this helps!

Gay - those that are attracted to their same sex only, usually referring to a man.
Lesbian - woman who is attracted to other women only.
Bisexual - those that are attracted to both sexes.
Transgendered - those that are born one sex, but feel that they are truly the other sex. Ex: born a man, feels is truly a woman. Transgendered do not always undergo sex-change surgery. Also, someone who is transgendered is not necessarily gay.

Homosexual - gays (guys) and lesbians (girls)

Gay - guys with guys. Sometimes girls say "gay", too, because it's faster than saying lesbian.

Lesbian - girls with girls.

Bi = bisexual - someone who can be with guys or girls.

Transvestite - a person who just likes to dress like the opposite sex.

Transgendered - someone who wants to BE the opposite sex. (They would like a sex-change operation.)

Oh geeze... Here we go. :P

"Gays" is a term usually referring to gay *men*, meaning men who are homosexual, or attracted only to other men.

The term gay can be used to describe both gay men and lesbians, (and occasionally bisexuals and trans) but normally it referrs to gay men specifically.

A lesbian is a homosexual *female*. She is attracted to other women.

Someone who bisexual is someone who is attracted to both sexes instead of just one.

And lastly, someone who is transgendered is someone who was born with a body that they feel does not accurately portray their true gender. For instance, someone who was born biologically female, but inside they feel like a male. People who are transgendered normally dress and act like the opposite sex than they were born with.
