Make sure it fits in the casing of the computer. Any brand of DVD burner will do; Combo+, DVD-CD burners, etc. There is no hastle to it. Just plug in the DVD burner, turn on the computer, and install the software; there's no problem to it.

All current DVD burners will run on Win XP. They normally come bundled with softwares like Nero for burning and Power DVD for playing DVD movies.

Just buy one, install hardware and software and you are on your way.
