He said ,in not so exact words; "We had 11 black guys and 1 white guy on our team. And the white guy only made it because he was white." Dont get me wrong. I always liked Chuck, was a bit disappointed for maybe 30 seconds, and I still like him. Does anyone know if he recieved heat of any sort for those remarks? The reason I ask is this but I may be wrong; Wasn't he already working for TNT on their NBA pregame and postgame show?

To cali_ninja_doggie: So what you are saying is that it is okay to say that a white man cant play basketball. What about Bird, Nowitzki, Nash and tons of others? Besides everyone with a brain knew Imus was joking. You are the one who needs to be educated.

To Big Stan: That is my point here. I have not outcast Chuck, he is still one of my favorite sports stars of all time. He made a remark that I didnt agree with, but I knew he didnt hate white people.

Of coarse he didn't...black people cant be raciest...only white people can, duh...I was brought up pretty hard nose, so none of that is gonna bother me...call me kracker, vanilla ice, honkey, redneck what ever, I really do not give a dang. You know what I'm saying?

Society is getting pretty bad, when you have to start off every sentence like "I'm not being raciest, but" and their is so many "soft" people today, that you cant hardly say anything with out them saying "Thats Raciest" or "You are a Raciest"....

I listen to Rap,"some" song's talk about killin crackers, and other negative things about white people, this doesnt bother me one bit! Thats part of life, this isnt a fairy tale, and things will never be perfect, you just gotta be the best person you can be, and not worry bout those people with hate in their heart. Let god judge them.

Actually, that is one quote and he has made many more supporting different races. He recently said Don Imus should not be fired and he has always maintained that Larry Bird is the best player he ever played against. So, I think you should take the whole of what he says rather than one comment. He is an equal opportunity guy when it comes to criticising.

charles was a great player and I love listening to him, but he is no analyst and should never be taken seriously. He just says whatever he wants to. Earlier this season on TNT he made a joke about women; it went something like this:

"Why shouldn't you buy your woman a watch? Because there's a clock on the stove".

Charles is wrong about everything and when he's wrong he changes his mind and says he's right and noone calls him out because he's "sir charles". kenny smith is so much better

In a vogue you kindof dont want him to be like Barkley. in case you dont submit to in suggestions there have been flaws in Barkleys pastime. protection for as quickly as, he develop into undesirable at it. He develop into too small to shelter means forwards. He develop into too massive and sluggish to shelter SG and SF. He develop right into a tremendously effective scorer yet he shoot a set of 3s and wasnt truly solid at that. finally he develop into on no account a champion in spite of being on some tremendously communities. with any luck Glen turns greater right into a mini Shaq than a Barkley

Hey Annie: Yao hasn't averaged near 10 ppg. He's been closer to 20.

Yeah, but Chuck was just making a joke... he's always a controversial figure.

People just have been dealing with Barkley's commentary for years now. Everything that comes out of his mouth sounds bad. Charles talks some much sh it about other people. People just really don't care anymore. You have to learn to just not care about what he says, because nothing that he says is good.

Charles Barkley also said that Yao Ming would never average anywhere near 10 points a game. This guy seems to discriminate against all ethnicities other than African Americans.

With the firing of Imus, changes WILL be made within the African American community. The word IS out that a change IS about to come!

Everybody with a brain knew he was only joking. He once kissed a dunky's behind on national TV too.

Besides, did he say "Vinnlia Ice" or "Cracka" or anything racial like that?

Plus I don't think he did so to acutally offend somebody. If saying that White men can't play basketball was as degrading as calling Black women Nappy headed Ho's then you would have a point.

Be educated, my friend.

Edit: So you think calling people names is as immoral as ridiculing someone's basketball skill? You pale skinned Cracka.

Sorry man you know I'm only kidding, right?
